Athena.

This post is more of a dedication to a family member that passed away. Our beloved Athena, aka Tina, passed away. She was so important to everyone in my family. Here is the first picture we took of her when my brother in law and sister rescued her from the street.

She was a beagle and dauschund mix and had crazy bowed legs. Man she could howl! Here you can see how bowed her short little legs were.

We always referred to Tina's as my dad's girlfriend because when he would go to bed, she would sneak up before my mom so she could lay in her spot in bed...under the covers! She was a Mary-wannabe.

Her death was shocking and out of the blue and I still cry when I think of her. We knew she was getting older but it's still so hard on all of us. She's buried on my parents 7 acres where she loved to roam. My brave dad decided that's where she would want to be.
